Tom Brady

Tom Brady, born on August 3, 1977, distinguished himself early as an athlete, earning two letters in both football and baseball during high school. He was drafted as a catcher by the Montreal Expos in the 18th round of the 1995 Major League Baseball Draft but chose to pursue football, attending the University of Michigan where he majored in Organizational Studies. Brady joined the New England Patriots, becoming their starting quarterback in 2001 after Drew Bledsoe sustained injuries. In a controversial decision, Coach Bill Belichick retained Brady as the starter for the subsequent season, leading to Bledsoe's departure and solidifying Brady's permanent position.
