Stevie Wonder

Stevie Wonder, born Stevland Hardaway Judkins, was born blind, a condition attributed to receiving excessive oxygen in an incubator. His early musical influences included Ray Charles, and he developed proficiency in playing the piano, drums, and harmonica by the age of seven. In 1960, while performing with his church choir, he was introduced to Berry Gordy, who subsequently signed the ten-year-old prodigy to a contract. Wonder released his first single and made his live debut in 1962, achieving chart-topping success by 1963. During his teenage years, he continued his education at a school for the blind, made a movie debut in 1964, and embarked on a tour in 1965.On August 6, 1973, Wonder was involved in a serious car accident, which resulted in a four-day coma and the loss of his sense of smell. He had two daughters with his companion Yolanda Simmons, Aisha Zakia born in April 1973 and Kita Swan Di born in April 1979. His professional achievements continued, culminating in his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on January 18, 1989. In his personal life, his wife Kai gave birth to their second son on his 55th birthday, May 13, 2005. Wonder's mother passed away on May 31, 2006. He later separated from Millard in October 2009, filed for divorce in August 2012, and married Tomeeka Bracy in 2017. Throughout his career, Wonder has been recognized with numerous awards for his musical talent, philanthropic endeavors, and inspirational character.
