Russell Brand

Russell Brand established a career as an English comedian, actor, radio host, and author. He achieved significant public recognition in 2004 as the host of "Big Brother's Big Mouth," a spin-off of the reality television series. His film career began to flourish with a major role in "St Trinian's" in 2007, followed by a prominent part in the 2008 romantic comedy-drama "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," which led to his starring role in the 2010 spin-off "Get Him to the Greek." Brand also contributed his voice to animated films including "Despicable Me" (2010), "Hop" (2011), and "Despicable Me 2" (2013), and played the title character in the 2011 remake of "Arthur." He married singer Katy Perry on October 23, 2010, and filed for divorce on December 30, 2011. Throughout his career, Brand has been involved in various public controversies, including his dismissal from MTV and incidents related to his conduct as a presenter at award ceremonies. In 2008, he resigned from the BBC following prank calls made to actor Andrew Sachs during "The Russell Brand Show."
