Niecy Nash

Niecy Nash, born around February 23, 1970, is an American actress, comedian, and television host. She first gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Deputy Raineesha Williams in the comedy series "Reno 911!" (2003–2009, 2020–2022). Concurrently, she hosted the Style Network's "Clean House" (2003–2010), for which she received a Daytime Emmy Award. Nash earned two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for her performance in the comedy-drama series "Getting On" (2013–2015). Her television work also includes starring roles in the sitcom "The Soul Man" (2012–2016) and the horror-comedy series "Scream Queens" (2015–2016). From 2017 to 2022, she held a leading role in the crime comedy-drama "Claws". Nash's collaborations with director Ava DuVernay include the drama films "Selma" (2014) and "Origin" (2023), as well as the miniseries "When They See Us" (2019), which brought her another Primetime Emmy Award nomination. She portrayed feminist leader Florynce Kennedy in the miniseries "Mrs. America" (2020). In 2022, Nash starred in the miniseries "Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story", a role that earned her a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress and a Golden Globe nomination. Regarding her personal life, Nash was married to Don Nash for 13 years, with whom she has three children, before their divorce in June 2007. She married Jay Tucker in May 2011; their divorce was finalized in June 2020. In August 2020, Nash married singer Jessica Betts. Nash has publicly referred to Betts as her "hersband" and has not publicly labeled her sexual orientation.
