Julia Louis-Dreyfus

Born on January 13, 1961, Julia Louis-Dreyfus is an American actress and producer. Her parents divorced when she was one, leading her to grow up in both New York and Washington D.C. Her father, Gérard C. Louis-Dreyfus, was a prominent businessman, and her family lineage traces back to Léopold Louis-Dreyfus, founder of the Louis Dreyfus Group. She attended an all-girls school and later pursued drama studies at Northwestern University in Chicago, where she met her future husband, comedian Brad Hall. Her early career included a tenure on Saturday Night Live from 1982 to 1985, and she made her screen debut in films like Hannah and Her Sisters (1986) and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989).Louis-Dreyfus achieved widespread recognition for her role as Elaine Benes in the highly successful sitcom Seinfeld, which aired from 1990 to 1998.
