Joe Louis was born in 1914, the seventh of eight children. His family moved to Detroit when he was 12, and he left school at 17 to help support them. Louis began his professional boxing career on July 4, 1934. He won the heavyweight title on June 22, 1937, holding it until 1949, a period of nearly 12 years, during which he made more successful defenses than any other champion before or since. Despite earning an estimated $8.7 million over his career, he later faced significant financial obligations to the IRS.
Louis was married four times to three different women and had two biological children, a daughter named Jacqueline born in 1943 and a son named Joseph Jr. born in 1947. In October 1977, he suffered an aortic aneurysm, followed by a cerebral hemorrhage while hospitalized, which left him wheelchair-bound. He underwent open heart surgery in 1978 and died from a massive heart attack on April 12, 1981, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 66.

With a Cancer Ascendant, the world perceives a deeply nurturing and sensitive soul, one who instinctively creates a sense of home and security for others. This outward presentation is driven by an inner world that seeks stability and structure, as indicated by the Moon in Capricorn. There's a profound need for emotional security rooted in tangible accomplishments and a sense of duty, perhaps even a touch of old-soul wisdom guiding their emotional responses. This blend suggests a persona that is outwardly caring and intuitive, yet inwardly pragmatic and driven by a desire for lasting foundations. The Sun in Taurus, residing in the expansive eleventh house, reveals a core identity that is grounded, pleasure-seeking, and deeply invested in humanitarian ideals and the collective good. This Taurean strength finds its expression not in solitary pursuits, but in contributing to groups, fostering long-term friendships, and working towards shared visions that benefit many.
Mercury in Taurus further solidifies this communicative style, making their thoughts deliberate, steady, and value-driven, often expressed through practical means or artistic endeavors within their chosen communities. Venus in Gemini, tucked away in the twelfth house, introduces a complex layer to their relating and aesthetic sensibilities. There's a fascination with diverse connections and intellectual stimulation in love and social interaction, often playing out in more private or subconscious realms, perhaps a yearning for variety and mental engagement that isn't always overtly expressed. Mars in Leo in the second house ignites a passionate, creative, and somewhat regal drive towards securing resources and asserting their value. This placement fuels a desire to be recognized for their unique talents and to build a sense of worth through bold, self-expressive actions in the material world, adding a flair of confident self-assuredness to their pursuit of comfort and abundance.
