Cris Morena

Cris Morena, born around August 23, 1956, began her career as a fashion model before gaining prominence as an actress and television presenter. She later expanded her creative endeavors, becoming a composer, musician, songwriter, and writer. In September 1974, she became a mother with the birth of her daughter, Romina Yan. Later that year, in December 1974, she married Gustavo Yankelevich, and they welcomed their son, Tomás Yankelevich, in December 1977. Her professional path evolved significantly as she transitioned into television production, initially working directly for Telefe. Morena established herself as a leading figure in Argentine television, creating numerous successful youth-oriented programs such as "Jugate Conmigo," "Chiquititas," "Rebelde Way," "Floricienta," "Alma Pirata," and "Casi Ángeles." In 1996, her marriage to Gustavo Yankelevich concluded in divorce. In 2002, she founded her independent production company, Cris Morena Group, with "Rebelde Way" marking her first project outside of direct Telefe employment. Tragically, her daughter, Romina Yan, passed away in September 2010. Her son, Tomás Yankelevich, followed in the family's footsteps, becoming a producer and director at Telefe.
